The farm bill conference report was signed by the conferees last night and the text released. It is being touted as a “bipartisan” bill despite the partisan turn it took when drafted in the House. Just past 4pm today, the Senate passed it in an unexpected move, taking up the legislation prior to its consideration in the House in an effort to shore up votes in that chamber.
