GOOD MORNING, Prices are mixed as we head into first notice day on Thursday, lower for wheat and higher elsewhere. Wheat is lower on rains in Europe and the Black Sea, while corn and bean prices strengthen on Trump's requiring meat-processing plants to re-open to protect the US food supply. President Trump will sign an executive order mandating meat processors to stay open during the pandemic under the Defense Production Act. The markets had reacted negatively to the closing of many plants due to coronavirus. The reduced meat-processing had disrupted livestock breeding at the farm level, with the prospect of less use of feed grains like corn and soy. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
