GOOD MORNING, The markets will open higher across the board and have been well bid all night on the back of a US/China trade deal, as well as news from Argentina that export taxes on the soy complex and grains would be increased. The funds spent the month of November on the short side of the market for corn and beans, and are still short as prices work higher into the middle of December. Charts are turning upward, gaining more of a positive look. Funds as shown by the commitment-of-trader's report are about as expected in each category, holding a very large position in soyoil futures. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
