GOOD MORNING, Prices continue their sideways trading range as we get closer to the end of the month and the Sep 30 stocks report along with the October WASDE. Funds remain short across the board. Volumes are low as new inputs are scarce. Feature of the day yesterday was that of higher wheat as several tenders took place, though the US was not the most competitive in terms of price. Egypt purchased 3 cargoes of Russian wheat in their tender, with prices very competitive. WEATHER Current weather for the short term is still bearish with above normal temperatures and above normal rainfall. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
