Ambitious F2F The EU is getting closer to releasing its Farm to Fork plan for completely remaking its food system and it is ambitious. So ambitious that it has raised concerns about its impact on food production and thus the creation of a Food Security Observatory and the development of “contingency” plans, presumably in case it all goes awry. F2F aims to greatly reduce the impact of agriculture on the environment and in doing so, the actual production of food is reduced as a driving policy goal.  The plan will not only restrict how food can be grown but also specify how it can be processed, all of which would cause libertarians in the U.S. to call it Orwellian.
