The September export data for red meat is in. Pork grew for the second month, and beef cooled off from a so-far record year. September was the first month of 2022 that beef exports were lower than year ago totals.     Exports of U.S. beef in September were down 7 percent from September 2021, in both volume and value. But even with that drop, the year-to-date export volume totals from January through September are up 4 percent, and export value totals are up 20 percent. Last year was a record for beef export value at $10.58 billion.  o far this year, total export value is $9.12 billion – which by itself would be the second largest year on record.
