Russian Grain Markets: 31 August – 4 September 2026 The Russian grain market continued its bearish trend during the first week of September, with ample stocks and weak demand keeping pressure on prices. At the same time, Russian exports are undergoing a structural shift as traders increasingly use Baltic and Caspian Sea routes. Black Sea and Sea of Azov activity remains minimal. Black Sea FOB quotations are available, but traders are not buying new grain at these ports. Most recent business has shifted to the Baltic and Caspian seas as the market adjusts to higher freight costs and new transportation combinations.
