Border Trouble The Biden Administration’s management of a flood of children across the southern border is receiving the media attention but U.S. agriculture groups have other complaints emanating from the south. Agriculture groups sent a letter to new U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack covering eight trade barrier issues that have been erected by Mexico City under President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO’s). The most serious is his threat against imports of GMO corn from the U.S. but there are several other products being impacted.
