The House Agriculture Committee will hold two farm bill hearings this week, one on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and one on crop programs and crop insurance. Those comprise the big ticket spending items in the farm bill. Last week the Congressional Budget Office CBO) released its 10 year projected estimates for those programs, plus the conservation programs in the bill.
