That represents a 4.8 percent increase from the previous week. Meanwhile, the national average live hog price has risen 81 percent since bottoming out in late March to nearly RMB 21/kg ($1.42/lb.) as of this past Monday. Regionally, the highest average domestic hog price is now in Guangdong, where it jumped at the start of this week to RMB 28/kg ($1.90/lb.).
