Livestock Surging Hog and Pork Prices Draw Government’s Attention Recent surveys conducted by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) show the average wholesale price of pork as of 4 July grew to RMB 25.74/kg ($1.75/lb.). That represents a 4.8 percent increase from the previous week.
