Oilseeds Soymeal Inventory Up Slightly but Relatively Stable With the summer maintenance period beginning to wind down, China’s estimated soymeal inventory totaled 1.249 MMT as of 27 July 2018, a gain of 20,200 MT (+1.64 percent) from the previous week but 105,700 MT lower (-7.8 percent) than at the same point one year ago. At the regional level, estimated soymeal stocks increased in all but two areas. The inventories in Shandong Province and the autonomous region of Guangxi fell 18,300 MT (-12.6 percent) to 126,600 MT and just 2,000 MT (-1.89 percent) to 104,000 MT, respectively. With China’s ports sitting on a significant pile of imported soybeans, inventories should remain high until at list mid-fall.
