As had been widely expected, China’s commitment is an aggregate marginal increase of $32 billion in total ag purchases over the next two years. This increase would be based off of 2017 (pre-trade war imports) of $24 billion.   The $40 billion per year in total ag purchases mentioned in the press is the $16 billion annual average added to the $24 billion baseline.
