Chocolate Ban One of the reasons European Parliamentarians (EPs) gave for prohibiting the use of palm oil in biodiesel was to stop deforestation. Now a report out of Ghana states that the illegal growing of cocoa to feed the world’s demand for chocolate has resulted in the deforestation of national parks and other “protected” forests. The wildlife has also disappeared along with the trees. However, EPs couldn’t bring themselves to punish the consumption of pommes frites despite their high levels of carcinogenic acrylamides, so don’t expect them to ban the consumption of chocolate.   Folly of Youth President Trump, who has been described by critics as a “man-child,” heads to Davos next week...
