In a joint session today, Congress certified the 2024 election results. That sets up the incoming Trump Administration to pursue an ambitious First 100 Days of executive orders and other legislative activity that will likely include many of the campaign promises he made, including significant deportation efforts and immigration reform, implementation of tariffs, and extending other tax proposals including the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act which expires at the end of this year. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt. WPI’s model has subsequently provided quantitative support to a multi-million-dollar investment into short-season corn variety development.
