The Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025 was jointly published today by the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services (HHS). These recommendations are released every five years for Americans above the age of two. This year, for the first time, the report included recommendations for infants and toddlers. Bottom-line, the report targeted, as usual, refined grains, saturated fats, and added sugars as areas to reduce; and whole grains, dairy, and seafood as products Americans should consume more.
