Among the animal proteins, only milk has lower GHG emissions than poultry eggs. This is because in a sense, they are both renewable farm products. A cow produces thousands of pounds of milk and a hen lays hundreds of eggs. The egg industry is emphasizing its sustainability attributes in a bid to grow the industry at a faster rate.
