The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released its monthly Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) today. April is the month that includes a forecast of the peak demand summer driving season fuel use, which runs from April through September. Total gasoline use is forecast to be down by 15 percent compared to 2019; and ethanol blending is forecast to be down 20.4 percent based on the blending economics from a forecast average price for regular gasoline of $1.58/gallon versus $2.72/gallon last year. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
