Regional News The Ukrainian government announced last week that, after a review of its new grain export corridors, it expects to export 3 MMT of grain monthly from the Black Sea. It expects to reach that volume by early September.  Algeria secured 700 KMT of wheat last week at a price of $384/MT CNF. France was the primary supplier but Russia also contributed some volume.  Milling Wheat  World wheat markets are mixed to start the week with U.S., French, and Germany valued lower while Russian and Romanian offers are slightly higher. Communicating importance of value-added products

Facing increasing pressure to quantify the value of export promotion efforts to investors, a U.S. industry organization retained WPI to develop a quantitative model that better communicated the importance of exports. The resulting model concluded that value-added meat exports contributed $0.45 cents per bushel to the price of corn, increasing support for that sector’s financial support of WPI’s client. In addition to serving the red meat industry with this type of analysis, WPI has generated similar deliverables for the U.S. soybean and poultry/egg industries.
