Regional News  Iran’s grain supply association stated it expects to import 8 MMT of wheat this year due to supply shortages in the country. Much of the wheat is expected to come from the Black Sea region and will represent a huge increase over the 1 MMT of imports last year. Ukraine’s grain exports total 16.5 MMT so far in MY 2021/22, up from 14.8 MMT this time last year. To date, Ukraine has exported 10.7 MMT of wheat, 4 MMT of barley, and 1.5 MMT of corn.  Egypt’s supply ministry said the country has enough wheat on-hand to meet five months of its domestic needs.
