Regional News  After an amazingly dry spring, rains are forecast to return to Europe this week and next. The GFS model projects meaningful rainfall for southern France and Germany, as well as broad coverage across Southeast Europe. The UK is expected to remain dry in the coming week, but that pattern is in keeping with seasonal trends. Weather models suggest inconsistent precipitation across the Black Sea region, with western Ukraine receiving above-normal rainfall while parts of western Russia receive less than is needed.  Temperatures will be cooler than normal across continental Europe, with any heat isolated to the northern regions.
