Export Sales

Export Sales and Shipments for February 16-22, 2024. Wheat:  Net sales of 327,300 metric tons (MT) for 2023/2024 were up 40 percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week average. Export shipments of 538,700 MT were up 44 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Japan (137,600 MT), the Philippines (112,200 MT), China (56,900 MT), Mexico (51,900 MT), and Egypt (36,700 MT). Corn:  Net sales of 1,082,300 MT for 2023/2024 were up 32 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. Weighing in on strategic realignment

WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
