Export Sales

Export Sales and Shipments for August 23-29, 2024. Wheat:  Net sales of 340,000 metric tons (MT) for 2024/2025 were down 36 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average. Export shipments of 638,100 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 11 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (139,900 MT), Mexico (120,500 MT, including 33,000 MT - late), Vietnam (66,000 MT), South Korea (53,000 MT), and Guatemala (37,800 MT). Corn:  Net sales reductions of 173,100 MT for 2023/2024--a marketing-year low--were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Forecasting developments in production agriculture

On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
