Wheat: Net sales of 322,700 metric tons (MT) for 2023/2024 were down 78 percent from the previous week and 51 percent from the prior 4-week average. Export shipments of 337,400 MT were up 17 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (98,500 MT), Japan (53,700 MT), Algeria (45,100 MT), Taiwan (27,000 MT), and South Korea (20,900 MT). On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
