Farm Bill Catches a Break in Senate Budget

The Senate Budget Committee is scheduled to pass its FY2018 budget plan tomorrow; and the House may take up its budget blueprint this week too. What does that mean for the 2018 farm bill?The Senate Budget Committee is scheduled to vote on its proposed fiscal year 2018 budget resolution tomorrow. Of course, once the panel adopts its fiscal blueprint – assuming it does – that resolution must also pass the full Senate. Then, it must be considered in conference between the Senate and the House with the House’s own version of the budget.
