Farm Bill Debate and DOE Oversight

Farm Bill on Senate Floor for Debate After passing a farm bill out of Committee last week on Tuesday 14 May, the Senate officially took up the farm bill on Wednesday night, 15 May, at 5:38 p.m. Today the Senate took up the farm bill again at 3:00 p.m. but at the time of this report was scheduled to go into Executive Session to consider the nominations for two federal judgeships. The farm bill is not expected to be finished this week; however, debate will continue until the immigration bill is ready for the floor. The Senate is expected to finish the farm bill before the end of the month. Infrastructure investment due diligence

On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
