The current market situation begs the question: How will farmers generate cash while they wait in hope for a price rally?Prices are low (depending on your viewpoint). Farmers have finished harvesting big corn and soybean crops in near record fashion. The November USDA WASDE offered little hope of any significant price rally unless weather in Brazil and Argentina doesn’t cooperate and yields there are threatened. The world’s northern hemisphere winter wheat crops are in the ground and/or near dormancy.
