House Agenda: Where Ag Fits Into Election Year Politics

While it is likely Congress will work toward having a continuing resolution by the end of the year, three appropriations bills have been tabbed to move forward. That includes the agriculture appropriations bill that could come to the House floor tomorrow.As we have reported a few times of late, Congress is entering the home stretch of its legislative session. This is an election year and it will adjourn about 30 days before the November election. Coming up is an extended recess for the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday and the traditional August recess. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
