On Wednesday, the House of Representatives narrowly passed the plan to raise the debt limit and limit discretionary funding put forth by the Republican majority. That plan would raise the ceiling on government borrowing authority from the current $34.1 trillion by another $1.5 trillion, or until March 2024, whichever comes first.
