In May, the House or Representatives passed the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act - the fourth COVID-19 relief package, which then stalled in the Senate over its size and scope. The original HEROES Act was a $3.4 trillion bill but it has been revised to a $2.2 trillion package that will come to the House floor again soon. Some of the trimmed spending comes in the ag area; there are no additional payments for program crops like the original HEROES Act provided.
