India's spot corn price has stabilized over the past few days in most markets, but  today's average price was still lower than on 1 October. Meanwhile, demand seems to be catching up, although  imports seem unlikely. Corn Prices Rising with Imports Unlikely As the rabi sowing season has started, the major problem facing farmers in coming months will be irrigation. According to the government of India (GOI), the 91 major reservoirs are only 51 percent full compared with 76 percent a year ago.
