Corn and Soymeal Exports Could Keep Prices High Indian corn is competitive and finding markets in Vietnam and Bangladesh. Vietnam continues to import Indian corn in containers at $220-225/MT delivered. This price is compared to U.S. and South American corn at $230/MT delivered. Bangladesh imported 50,000 MT of corn via vessels from South India, but as corn harvest started in Bihar, most of the corn is being trucked to the border (India-Bangladesh) @ $195-200/MT. This is much cheaper than U.S./South American corn reaching the Chittagong port at $220/MT and there is an additional cost of $34 to take it in country.
