Action at the CBOT was mixed with crop futures mostly lower overnight (with wheat the lone exception) and lackluster during the morning’s trading session. Corn futures attempted to find positive ground early but were unable to post significant gains. Soybeans started the day weaker and losses accelerated with afternoon news from the U.S.-China trade meetings in Washington. Only HRS wheat finished with notable gains.  This afternoon, President Trump announced that Chinese agricultural purchases “would not be enough” and that he wants a “complete deal”.
