Markets started the Sunday night session steady to just slightly higher, but wheat and corn closed this morning down a penny with soybeans 3-4 cents lower. Then during most of today’s session, corn was steady to slightly higher with wheat and soybeans lower. The following two major events this week will impact the markets:

It is Election Day tomorrow in the U.S. The outcome is still very uncertain today, although it appears Democrats will regain the House of Representatives and Republicans will hold the Senate. USDA will release its updated production estimates and supply/demand revisions Thursday. The market is looking for very slight reductions in the U.S. corn and soybean yield estimates.
