The short covering continued today with early pressure at the CBOT wearing off in favor of higher closes. Funds aren’t especially fond of covering their once-profitable short positions but did so reluctantly today. There seems to be consensus that a large portion of the recent rally was short-covering-driven, rather than pushed by new longs being added. Consequently, price gains may slow as traders have liquidated all that they want to while waiting for more details on a Phase One trade agreement. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
