USDA announced the sale of 120,000 MT of old crop soybeans to unknown for the current marketing year. This was a small surprise since the market has been waiting for announcements of cancellations, not additional sales. General Comments Markets were quiet Sunday evening on extremely light trading volume. Corn and wheat futures had very narrow ranges overnight, but January soybean futures did have a 12-cent trading range.Markets will trade until 1pm (EST) tomorrow (24 December) and then close until 9:30 AM (EST) Thursday (26 December) for the Christmas holiday. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
