Corn futures closed fractionally higher in consolidating trade on both sides of yesterday's closes. The Malaysian plane disaster lit up the market, briefly pushing prices up about 9 cents. However, it did not last long. General Comments Grain and soy prices were slightly lower for the most part in overnight trade, but recovered to trade a few pennies higher by midway through the day session in generally quiet trade.
