Wheat tried to trade higher off and on today, and Chicago July did show gains of 5-6 cents at one point. Meanwhile, the soybean market followed yesterday's pattern. General Comments Markets were lower across the board most of last night and today except for wheat, which occasionally managed to trade higher. News of any sort is still limited. Planting of spring crops across the U.S. should continue to make good progress through the weekend and into early next week. The best chance of rain in recent memory for the northern Plains appears to be the middle of next week.
