That was enough to generate light fund buying that held soybeans higher, although soymeal futures finished the day lower. Monday, 30 May is the first holiday of the summer season in the U.S. All markets are closed until 8 p.m. (EDT) that evening. It also marks the start of the North American row crop growing season. Financial markets were also quiet. Equity markets were mostly steady to slightly higher. Crude oil was slightly lower, and the U.S. dollar was strong.
