Markets were mixed at the start of the last trading day for 2016. As of the close today, the soybean futures market was up almost $1.50/bushel for the year, which is incredible given the size of production in the Southern Hemisphere and U.S. General Comments Markets were mixed overnight and started the last day of trading for 2016 the same way. Soybeans were weaker, but corn and wheat were higher. As might be expected, volume was light.Managed money is estimated to end 2016 short 101,000 contracts of Chicago wheat futures and 97,000 contracts of corn.
