The CBOT rallied to end the week with strong commercial buying early in the day that gave way to some fund buying in expectation of ProFarmer’s yield projections. Since Monday’s surprise decline in U.S. crop conditions, the market has been acting bullishly and the ProFarmer early yield assessments certainly aided that viewpoint. The ProFarmer results were issued after Friday’s close and (as discussed below) will likely be bullish corn next week and neutral soybeans.
