The CBOT ended the week on a down note with low trading volume. The soy complex recovered slightly around noon but finished the day lower with mild losses. Funds and speculative traders are paring back positions and trading volume with Europe on holiday Monday, 24 May and the U.S. celebrating its Memorial Day holiday Monday, 31 May. These holiday-shortened trading weeks increase risks over the non-tradable weekends, which will keep new position taking to a minimum.
