Corn and wheat futures posted a “Turnaround Tuesday” with Monday’s selloff yielding higher prices on a combination of profit taking and short-covering. The soy complex attempted the same but could not hold gains as showers fell across Argentina again and are forecast to continue Wednesday through the weekend. There was little fresh news available for markets and much of Tuesday’s price action was technically driven. Amid the lack of fresh news, the South American weather and export trends and offer prices from major exporters have an outsized impact on futures.
