The CBOT ended the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday week higher as strong export sales news, a weaker U.S. dollar, and continued dry weather in South America were supportive. Malaysian palm oil futures rallied sharply overnight, which aided CBOT soyoil in heading higher on Friday, thereby supporting soybeans and soymeal as well. Corn futures neared contract highs on a combination of daily export sales news strength and spillover buying from soybeans and wheat. Wheat futures found positive news in Egypt’s purchases of Russian wheat at prices that are reportedly still very strong.
