Mercosur Regional Analysis

Wheat High temperatures in recent days have slightly accelerated crop maturity and the harvest in Argentina. Weekly harvest progress reached 12 percent, with 30 percent of the area harvested. Yields show significant variability. In some cases, yields are improving as harvesters move into the core region, with some producers reporting better-than-expected results.Despite strong progress, total production estimates remain unchanged. Although harvesting has accelerated, truck arrivals at ports have yet to reflect the increase. A significant rise is expected in the coming days.The current vessel lineup stands at 250,000 MT. Forecasting developments in production agriculture

On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
