The corn situation in Argentina is generating big losses throughout the entire chain. It started with farmers not harvesting and thus not delivering to ports, leaving many vessels waiting to load and subject to large demurrage costs as a result. There are also large problems in the local market. Soybeans High volatility has returned to the Brazilian soybean market. The board has been trading in a range of at least 20 cents or more each day, much like the rally after the WASDE report was released.
