WHEAT Harvest progressed by 11.5 percent during the week, lifting completion to 45 percent of the harvestable area. Fieldwork moved across the central agricultural region at a normal pace, with yields continuing to surpass historical averages. Most of the remaining standing area was either drying down to meet delivery standards or reaching the final stages of grain filling. While harvest progress aligned with recent years’ averages, yields remained clearly above them, and production estimates stayed above 25 MMT. Activity slowed in parts of the core region due to scattered rains but yields there remained exceptional at around 6 MT/ha, with some fields exceeding 10 MT/ha.
