Claiming the U.S. has no evidence to support the safety of GM corn, he demanded a joint scientific effort to study the health impacts of GM Corn. The U.S. refused and so he declared Washington unwilling to cooperate. The safety of GM corn has been settled science in multinational fora for decades. The U.S. is not going to concede to a joint study when it has the facts on its side. The challenge to Mexico is to prove otherwise. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
