The wheat had entered the country several months ago and was stored near Alexandria on the Mediterranean. It is said to be for private sector use and not part of any GASC tender. ADM and Cargill have formed a new joint venture in Egypt, SoyVen, which will own and operate the soybean crushing facility of National Vegetable Oil Company (NVOC). The facility is located in Borg El Arab, Egypt and has capacity to crush 6,000 MT of soybeans per day.
