Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA Saudi Arabia flour mill sales for the Second and Fourth Milling Companies has reportedly been signed. The sale was announced in April 2021 but details that needed sorting out delayed the signing until last week. The total selling price of the two mills was about $1.1 billion. Saudi’s Riyadh Port Authority has signed a 20-year contract agreement with United Feed Company for the construction and management of 240,000 MT of new grain silos that can handle up to 2.9 MMT of grain per year. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
