The Market This week started strong, took a midweek dip, and then recovered, except for soyoil. Soybeans are in an uptrend and the March contract is trading solidly in a 15.35-15.41 range. For the week, it gained 22.5 cents (1.54 percent). However, the standout this week was soymeal. Friday saw a new contract high for March meal (500.4) and the highest price for the contract in nine years. For the week, it is up $23 (4.85 percent). Gulf meal is now priced 2 percent higher than Argentine origin and 5 percent more than Brazilian, so it is domestic demand driving it higher.
